What thickness is used for kitchen countertops?

The thickness of a kitchen countertop is generally either 0.75" or 1.25"(2cm or 3cm), and one lone edge laminated thickness to 4cm(2cm+2cm) or 5cm(2.5cm+2.5cm or 3cm+2cm) is also very commom.

In the eastern U.S. the larger thickness is preferred, and western consumers prefer the thinner.
